Privacy Policy

Mintage Protocol (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This page describes everything we collect. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Your account

When you sign in with Google we receive your email address and name. We use them to identify your account and to keep track of which products are in your collection. Nothing else from your Google account reaches us.

Your collection

When you claim a product, we record which tag you claimed and when. Only you can see your collection. We never show other people which products belong to you, and when someone else looks up a tag you own, they are told only that it is already claimed — never by whom.

The public feed

Claiming a product adds one line to the public feed on our home page. That line contains the product model and size, and nothing else. It does not include your name, your email, your account, the tag ID, or anything that links the product to you.

How the site is used

We record what happens on the site — a tag being looked up, a passport being viewed, a claim succeeding or failing — so we can tell whether Mintage is working. These records are labelled with a temporary, randomly generated ID that lives only in your browser tab. It is created when you arrive, it is erased when you close the tab, and it cannot be used to recognise you on a later visit or on any other website.

We do not build a profile of you, track you across the internet, or use advertising or fingerprinting technology. We do not know where you are beyond what any website can see from an ordinary web request, and we do not store it.

Products, not people

Brands and retailers using Mintage see how their products are performing — how often items are verified and claimed. They do not receive your identity, your email, your collection, or any way to contact you.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time. Write to us at the address below to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have your account and collection deleted.
